In the new administrative center of Astana City there is a unique for its architectural and acoustic characteristics Central Concert Hall “Kazakhstan”for up to three thousand five hundred seats. Thanks to artistry shapes and modern construction approaches, the Central Concert Hall “Kazakhstan” successfully balances with the building of the President's Residence and Houses of the Senate and Mazhilis.
According to its capacity, the Concert hallwith an area of three thousand five hundred and twelve square meters is one of the largest halls in the world, designed for symphonic and chamber music concerts, opera and ballet performances, film screenings, and political events. The author is Mr. Manfredi Nicoletti. He is not only one of the most vanguard designers in the world, but also one of the most sought-after architects of our time. He is famous all round the world for the principles of natural construction. The Central Concert Hall “Kazakhstan” designed by Nicoletti today is tipped a glory of the Opera Theatre in Sydney, Australia.
This unique project, to date, doesnot have any analogues all-round the CIS and it is certainly one of the most important architectural structures of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Outside and inside, the atrium is decorated with a special tree that allows the acoustics to carry out its functions without any restrictions. Even the floor of the concert hall is made of special high wear resistance parquet and stowed in a special way with the acoustic bias. The hall has all the latest technology and there is no any random or suture material. Particular attention should be paid to multi-function scene (scene area is 274 sq. m.), that may be controlled by one person, with a single remote control. On the front of the stage, there is an orchestra pit, the descent and ascent time of which is about 4 minutes. The orchestra pit depth reaches 4.5 meters, and requires a separate output for the orchestra. The back part of the scene is assigned to the choir, and has 7 choir tiers, that are also controlled from the remote control and at full uplift reaches two meters in height.
It is worth to note that construction of this facility is an initiative of the head of our state, and special gratitude shall be expressed to Mr.NursultanNazarbayev for his great attention to the development of culture thanks to which our country becomes rich for such unusual items as the Central Concert Hall “Kazakhstan”.
